Warranty terms below apply to hardware sales of Rufus devices. Subscription customers policies are governed by signed MSA. Rufus Labs’ Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy apply.
Limited Hardware Warranty
Rufus Labs hardware is warranted for a period of twelve (12) months from initial date of purchase to be free of defects in material and workmanship, provided the product remains unmodified and is operated under normal and proper conditions in accordance with Rufus Labs specifications.
Rufus Labs Obligation Under Warranty
Rufus Labs’ sole obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of products or parts at Rufus Labs’ discretion during the warranty period. Rufus makes every effort to respond to warranty claims within a reasonable period of time after claim filing. Rufus Labs does not assume responsibility for delays in replacement or repair of products or parts. Deductible may be charged for user damage and non-manufacturing defects. Rufus Labs, at its sole discretion may replace lost or stolen devices at reduced cost.
Products and parts repaired or replaced by Rufus Labs under the warranty shall be warranted for the balance of the original warranty period. This warranty gives customer specific legal rights, and particular customers may also have other rights, which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
The warranty applies only to the original owner and does not extend to any product that has been subject to misuse, neglect, accidental damage, unauthorized repair, or tampering.
Customer is responsible for shipment of the product to Rufus Labs and assumes all costs and risks associated with this transportation. Return shipment to Customer will be at Rufus Labs’ expense. Customer shall be responsible for return shipment charges for product(s) returned where Rufus Labs determines that there is no defect or where Rufus Labs determines that the product is not eligible for warranty repair or replacement.
Disclaimer of All Other Warranties
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED, RUFUS LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS ON HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR WARRANTY REPAIR FURNISHED, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED TERMS, CONDITIONS AND WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE AND THAT SOFTWARE, SOLUTION, OR WARRANTY REPAIR WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT THE SOFTWARE OR THE PROVISION OF WARRANTY REPAIR WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, PRIVATE, TIMELY, SECURE, ACCURATE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS OR ERRORS IN SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE, WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH FUTURE PRODUCTS OR SOFTWARE VERSIONS OR INTEROPERATE WITH THIRD PARTY HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE. THE REMEDY SET FORTH IN THIS HARDWARE WARRANTY SECTION ABOVE IS END-USER CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS, AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REMEDIES THAT MAY BE AVAILABLE TO END-USER CUSTOMER AT LAW OR IN EQUITY. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to the particular End-User Customer.
RUFUS LABS SHALL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER BE LIABLE TO ANY END-USER CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR LOSS OF PROFITS (DIRECT OR INDIRECT), ANY DESTRUCTION OR LOSS OF DATA (DIRECT OR INDIRECT), DIMINUTION OF GOOD WILL, OR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO ANY CLAIM IN CONNECTION WITH RUFUS LABS PRODUCTS. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to the particular customer.
Limitations
No salesperson, representative, or agent of Rufus Labs is authorized to make any guaranty, warranty, or representation that contradicts the terms contained in this Limited Warranty. In no event shall Rufus Labs be liable for consequential damages. Rufus Labs shall not under any circumstances whatsoever be liable to any party for loss of profits, diminution of good will, or any other special, consequential, or incidental damages whatsoever with respect to any claim in connection with Rufus Labs’ products and/or parts.
Rufus warranty coverage is voided by the removal, defacing, or modification of the product’s serial number. Lost or stolen items are excluded from warranty coverage.
Duties, taxes, and customs charges for shipments outside the United States are excluded from Rufus coverage. Consumables, including glove scanner accessories and swivel mounts, are not covered under Rufus warranty. Rufus warranty must be purchased within 30 days of original hardware purchase.

What May Void the Warranty
Warranty may be null and void in the following circumstances:
Misuse, neglect, accidental damage, unauthorized repair, or tampering of any product by the customer or any third party; or
Improper software installation or failure to conduct regular maintenance/updates by the customer or any third party; or
Failure of the customer or any third party to exercise caution to protect any covered product or part from electrostatic discharge damage, adverse temperature and humidity conditions; or
Failure by the customer or any third party to use only Rufus Labs supplied parts; or
Failure by the customer or any third party to use only Rufus Labs media; or
Failure by the customer or any third party to follow the warranty claim process.
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, the customer must do the following as a condition of the warranty:
Contact Rufus Labs to explain the warranty issue by submitting an Online Support Ticket in the WorkHero dashboard, calling 866-438-7838, or contacting your dedicated Customer Success Representative. Be prepared to provide the following information on the Warranty Claim Form:

Rufus Labs recommends that the customer fully insures the shipment (at the full purchase price) in case of loss or damage during transit. It is recommended that the customer keep a record of the shipping details and tracking number. The customer assumes sole responsibility of products returning to Rufus Labs. Rufus Labs is not responsible for lost and/or damaged goods during transit.
